Privacy Policy

The short version

VidQuiz turns a video into an interactive multiple-choice quiz. We collect the email and account details you give us, the video links and content you submit so we can generate your quizzes, the quizzes you create, messages you send us, and basic analytics and log data, so we can run the product and improve it. We use your video content only to generate your quizzes. We never sell your personal information and we never sell or share your video content.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit vidquiz.com, try the demo, create an account, submit a video to generate a quiz, take or share a quiz, or contact us. It covers the VidQuiz website and product.

Information we collect

• Account information. The email address you provide when you sign up, and any optional details you choose to share, such as your name. We use a short verification code to confirm your email.
• Video links and content you submit. The video URLs you paste and the video content you provide so we can read it and generate questions. We process this to create your quiz and, where relevant, to let you regenerate or edit it.
• Quizzes you create. The questions, answers and explanations we generate for you, and any edits you make, so you can return to, share or export your quizzes.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email and message so we can respond.
• Analytics data. Aggregate usage information about how the site is used, so we can understand which features are helpful and improve the experience.
• Technical and log data. Standard information such as IP address, browser type, and the page or campaign you arrived from, including UTM parameters, used for security, fraud prevention and understanding traffic sources.

How we use your information

• To generate your quizzes from the video links and content you submit, and to let you take, edit, share and export them.
• To set up your account, verify your email address, save your quizzes, and respond to your questions.
• To operate paid plans and handle billing for them.
• To send you relevant product updates, which you can turn off at any time.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it, and to protect the service from abuse, fraud and security threats.

Your video content

The video links and content you submit are yours. We process them solely to generate, regenerate and store the quiz you asked for. We do not sell your video content, we do not share it with other users, and we do not use it for anyone else's marketing. If a video link you paste points to a third-party platform, that platform's own terms and privacy practices also apply to the video itself.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the product, such as our hosting, payment, AI processing and email delivery providers, and only to the extent they need it to perform their function. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session, and we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off non-essential cookies will not stop you from using VidQuiz.

Data retention

We keep your account, quizzes and submitted content for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, billing and security obligations. You can ask us to delete the information and content you have submitted at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

Security

We design to minimize the data we collect, limit who can access it, and protect the information you trust us with. We use strong encryption in transit and at rest and least-privilege access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to collect as little of it as possible in the first place. We do not claim any certification or status we do not hold.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct or delete the information and content you have submitted, and you can opt out of non-essential email at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. To exercise any of these, email us and we will help.

Children

VidQuiz is intended for educators, creators, trainers and other adults who create quizzes. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and site evolve. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
