Refund Policy
How VidQuiz handles payments, renewals and the rare cases where money goes back. In effect from 14 October 2026.
Summary. VidQuiz payments are not refunded except in the three cases listed under "Exceptions". The demo lets you turn a video into a quiz and see the questions before you spend anything, and you can stop any future renewal yourself whenever you want.
Plans are paid ahead and kept
Every VidQuiz plan is a subscription billed monthly or yearly in US dollars. It gives you the quiz generator for that period with the monthly video allowance and the features listed on the pricing page. You are buying access for the period, not individual quizzes or minutes of video, and the whole allowance is yours from the first day of the period, used or not.
By subscribing you ask us to start straight away, and you acknowledge that once we have, any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period no longer applies.
Exceptions
Money is returned only in the situations below, only where the records support it, and never beyond the charge in question.
- Billing error. You were charged twice for the same period because of a fault in our billing.
- Card misuse. Your card was charged without your authority, you let us know within 14 days of the charge, and the payment and account records bear it out. We decide on the evidence rather than on the report alone, and we may ask you to confirm the misuse was reported to your card issuer.
- Total outage. A confirmed fault on our side made VidQuiz completely unusable for a continuous period, you told us about it while it was happening, and we did not resolve it. Slow processing, a single video that failed, partial faults and problems with your own device, browser or network are not covered.
A refund under these exceptions is all we owe, is limited to the amount paid for the period concerned, and is sent back only to the original card. Getting one refund does not give a right to another.
Examples that are not refunded
- You changed your mind, or your course or training plans changed.
- You made few or no quizzes during a paid period.
- You disagree with how a question was worded, how hard it was, or which moments of the video it covered. Questions are generated automatically and depend on the video's audio and content.
- A video was private, region-blocked, silent, too long for your plan, or otherwise could not be processed.
- An export did not look the way you wanted in another learning system.
- A renewal was charged, including one that went through after failed attempts.
- You thought the plan was a single purchase. The pricing page, checkout, confirmation email and your account all say it renews.
- You forgot to cancel, or cancelled just after a renewal.
- A feature you expected is not described on the pricing page.
- You chose the wrong plan, term or number of seats.
- Someone else used your login.
Your renewal and how to stop it
Plans renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account, without contacting anyone, and the cancellation applies to every renewal from then on. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. The days left are not refunded and nothing is pro-rated, and cancelling does not count as a refund request.
Charges that were retried
At the start of a new period, access for it is granted and the fee falls due. If the card issuer declines the payment, our payment operator retries it over the next few days. Each retry is the same unpaid invoice, not an extra charge. Cancelling while it is outstanding stops later renewals but does not cancel what is already owed, and once paid that renewal is final. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date shown in your account.
How to send a request
Email [email protected] from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge. Include the date and amount and say which exception applies. Requests received after 14 days, from another address or by another route are not considered. We go through them in the order they arrive, without a promised reply time, and do not revisit a declined request.
What we can show
When you sign up you accept our Terms of Service, which include this policy, and our Privacy Policy. Checkout displays the plan, price, billing term and automatic renewal before payment, and the confirmation email repeats them.
For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price displayed, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, and the account's activity log, including sign-ins, videos submitted, quizzes generated and quizzes taken, with the technical details recorded alongside. Our payment operator keeps its own record of every payment, including card country, payment origin and the outcome of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Unauthorised-charge claims are checked against these records.
If you go to your bank
Please write to us first if a charge looks wrong. Starting a chargeback without contacting us breaches our Terms and leads to the account being closed for good, and we send the records above to your card issuer.
Payments before 14 October 2026
Those payments stay under the terms that were in force when they were made. Everything paid from that date follows this policy.
