Mentimeter costs $11.99 per presenter per month for Basic and $24.99 for Pro, both billed yearly, which works out to $143.88 and $299.88 a year. Educators pay less: $8.99 for Basic and $14.99 for Pro, or $107.88 and $179.88 a year. Mentimeter's $0 tier allows about 50 participants a month, and Enterprise is quoted.

Every figure here was read on mentimeter.com/pricing and mentimeter.com/plans/education in October 2026. Prices carry a dollar sign and exclude sales tax. Where a number comes from anywhere else, the sentence says so.

The annual figures are our arithmetic on Mentimeter's per-month prices, since the page shows the monthly equivalent and bills the year up front.

How much does Mentimeter cost per month?

On the pricing page, Basic is $11.99 a month and Pro is $24.99 a month, but both of those are the monthly equivalent of a yearly bill. The FAQ is specific about the exception: Basic can be billed monthly, while Pro and Enterprise cannot be bought one month at a time. The page has a Pay monthly toggle, yet it does not print the month-to-month Basic price, so open the checkout to see it before you plan a short engagement around it.

If you only need Mentimeter for a single conference, there is a separate Conference package that gives several presenters Pro features for a one-off event. Its price is not on the page; it is a sales conversation.

Is Mentimeter free for teachers?

Yes, there is a free plan for anyone, teachers included, and it covers more than most people expect: Menti AI, the core question types and Quiz Competition slides. The limit is participants. The comparison table caps Free at 50 participants a month, counted across every presentation you run that month, while the plan card says unlimited participants once a month. Plan around 50. A teacher with two sections of 28 students runs out in the first week.

The education plans are the paid answer: Basic at $8.99 and Pro at $14.99 per presenter per month, billed yearly. Mentimeter's education page does not describe a verification step for the discount.

What is the difference between Mentimeter Basic and Pro?

Basic removes the participant cap and adds the two things most presenters notice first: importing an existing PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides deck, and exporting results as an image, a PDF or an Excel file. It also adds private presentations, segmented results, workspace roles and join settings.

Pro adds what a team or a brand needs. Custom colors, themes and logos. Embedding slides from PowerPoint Web, Google Slides or Miro. Participant names, which matters if you want to know who answered, not just what the room answered. A shared workspace with co-editing, moderated Q&A, Mentimote control from your phone, Quick Forms, several answers from one device, and payment by bank transfer. Pro is also the plan that lets you add more licensees to one subscription.

For a solo trainer or a lecturer, Basic is usually the right buy. Pro starts to pay off when named responses or a branded deck are part of the job.

What does a Mentimeter team plan cost?

Mentimeter prices per presenter, so a team pays the per-presenter rate times the number of people who build and run presentations, not the number of people in the audience. Here is the math for teams under the quote threshold, using the published yearly prices.

Ten licenses is the line. From there Mentimeter asks you to contact sales, and so does Enterprise. SpendHound, which tracks negotiated contracts, reports an average of about $659 a year for small business buyers and about $3,336 a year for enterprise buyers. Those are third-party averages, not list prices.

What does Mentimeter Enterprise add?

Enterprise adds everything a central IT or learning team asks about: single sign-on and SCIM provisioning, verifying participants through SSO, team groups, workspace insights, custom data retention, priority support and tailored onboarding. It is also the only plan with the LMS integration for Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle and D2L Brightspace.

That last line is the one people miss. On Basic and Pro, a Quiz Competition's results leave Mentimeter as an Excel file. The questions themselves do not become an item bank in your LMS.

Can I get a refund on Mentimeter?

Only within 14 days of buying, and only if you have not yet used Mentimeter at a live event. Run one session with an audience and the refund window is effectively closed. So build and rehearse the deck on the free plan first, and buy when you are ready to present.

How Mentimeter compares with other tools on price

Mentimeter is priced per presenter with no cap on the audience, which is cheap for a keynote and expensive for a department where everyone presents. Here is how it sits next to other tools buyers compare it with, at the yearly price for one person.

Kahoot, Pear Deck and Nearpod figures come from each vendor's own plan pages, read in October 2026; our Kahoot pricing breakdown covers the full player ladder. If the cost that worries you is per learner at scale, our quiz maker for large groups comparison works it out at 500, 2,000 and 5,000 people.

Is Mentimeter worth it?

For live sessions, yes. Mentimeter is one of the best tools for getting a room to answer on their phones, and at $107.88 to $143.88 a year for Basic it is reasonable for a trainer or lecturer who presents every week. If your deck still lives in a report or a Word document, you can turn the report into a presentation first and then add the Menti slides on top.

Where it is weaker is what happens after the session. A quiz you ran live in Mentimeter stays in Mentimeter unless you are on Enterprise. If the session was recorded and the same material has to count toward a grade or a training record, that is a different job. VidQuiz takes the YouTube link to the recording, writes multiple choice questions with the correct answer, an explanation and the timestamp each question came from, and exports a QTI 1.2 file for Canvas or Brightspace, a GIFT file for Moodle, a Blackboard file or a Google Forms CSV. Our Mentimeter alternative page lays out exactly where the two tools overlap and where they do not, and the webinar to quiz page shows the workflow for a recorded session.

Which Mentimeter plan should you buy?

Buy education Basic if you teach and only need unlimited students plus results in Excel. Buy business Basic if you are a solo trainer or speaker with the same needs. Buy Pro when you need named responses, a branded deck or more than one person editing. Talk to sales once you reach ten presenters, need SSO, or need quizzes to land in Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle or Brightspace without retyping them.

And if the graded quiz after the session is the part you actually need, price that separately. A free demo of 3 quizzes on VidQuiz shows whether the questions written from your own recording are good enough to use before you pay anything.
