Three quizzes VidQuiz generated from three real YouTube videos. They are saved output, not generated in your browser. Pick one to answer it, and open the source video to check the questions against what is actually said in it.

Kajabi has three plans on its pricing page: Basic at $179 a month, Growth at $249 and Pro at $499, or $143, $199 and $399 a month when billed annually. Every plan includes courses, and course quizzes come with the course builder at no extra cost. What separates the tiers for a course creator is the product count (5, 50 or unlimited), the contact limit, AI credits and the fee Kajabi adds when you take payments through your own processor.
We read the Kajabi pricing page and its help center in October 2026. Older reviews still quote a Kickstarter plan at $89 and Basic at $149. Neither appears on the pricing page now, so check the date on any figure you find before you budget with it.
Kajabi pricing plans compared
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed annually | Products | Contacts | Admin users | AI credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $179 a month | $143 a month ($1,716 a year) | 5 | 2,500 | 2 | 0 |
| Growth | $249 a month | $199 a month ($2,388 a year) | 50 | 25,000 | 11 | 500 |
| Pro | $499 a month | $399 a month ($4,788 a year) | Unlimited | 100,000 | 26 | 1,000 |
Annual totals are our arithmetic on the per-month figures Kajabi shows, and they match the savings Kajabi prints: $432 a year on Basic, $600 on Growth and $1,200 on Pro. All three plans include unlimited landing pages, funnels, marketing emails and access groups. Basic and Growth include one website and one community, Pro three of each. Extra AI credits cost $15 a month for 500.
How much is Kajabi per month?
Between $143 and $499 a month, depending on the plan and how you pay. Basic is $179 on monthly billing or $143 billed annually, Growth $249 or $199, and Pro $499 or $399. There is no free plan on the pricing page. Payment processing fees sit on top of the subscription, and they depend on the plan, as the next section shows.
For most creators the annual price is the number that matters, because a course business that is still deciding whether it will exist next year is not ready for Kajabi at all. At $143 a month, Basic is a serious commitment for one course and a small email list. It makes sense once the course is already selling.
Kajabi transaction fees by plan
Kajabi says it takes no revenue share, and on its own payment system that holds: you pay card processing, not a platform cut. If you connect a third party processor instead, Kajabi adds its own percentage on every sale, and that percentage shrinks as the plan grows.
| Plan | Kajabi Payments, US cards | Kajabi fee on a third party processor |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 2.9% + $0.30 | 2% |
| Growth | 2.8% + $0.30 | 1% |
| Pro | 2.7% + $0.30 | 0.5% |
The third party fee excludes PayPal and Kajabi Payments, and your processor charges its own fees on top. On $5,000 a month of course sales through your own processor, Basic adds $100 a month and Growth $50, so the $56 a month gap between the two annual prices is mostly closed by the fee before you count anything else Growth includes. If you sell through more than one platform, a tool that can track every payout from each platform in one place makes that comparison with your own numbers instead of an estimate.
Which Kajabi plan includes quizzes?
All of them. Quizzes are part of the course builder, and the Kajabi help article on course quizzes names no plan requirement. You add a Quiz from Add content inside a module, choose from multiple choice, checkboxes, short answer and file upload questions, set a passing grade and, if you want, lock the next module until the student passes.
So the plan decision for a course with quizzes is not about the quiz feature. It is about how many products you need. Basic allows five, and a course, a bundle, a coaching offer, a community and a lead magnet already use them up. Creators who sell several courses, or split one course into tiers, reach Growth because of that limit, not because of anything the quiz builder does.
What Kajabi pricing does not cover
The questions. Kajabi course quizzes have no import from a file. The only import Kajabi documents copies a quiz you already built in another Kajabi course, so every new question goes in through Add question: the stem, each option, a click on the correct one and an optional explanation. A course with eight modules and a 15 question check in each is 120 questions to write and enter before launch.
That writing time is the real cost of quizzes on any course platform, and on Kajabi it cannot be shortened by a spreadsheet upload the way it can on a Thinkific quiz template. What can be shortened is the writing. A Kajabi quiz builder workflow that drafts the questions from your lesson video hands you each item finished, with the options, the correct answer and the explanation in the order the Kajabi builder asks for them, so the job becomes pasting rather than composing.
Kajabi year one cost for a course with quizzes
| Line | Basic, annual | Growth, annual |
|---|---|---|
| Kajabi plan | $1,716 | $2,388 |
| Course quizzes | Included | Included |
| Question writing, with VidQuiz Starter billed annually | $288 | $288 |
| Year one before payment fees | $2,004 | $2,676 |
VidQuiz Starter is $49 a month, or $24 a month billed annually ($288 a year), and covers 40 quizzes a month from videos up to 60 minutes. For a single course that is far more than you need in a month, which is the point: you can draft every module check for a course in the first week and keep the set as a PDF answer key and a CSV outside Kajabi. If you only need questions for the launch, the monthly plan for one or two months costs less than the annual one.
Is Kajabi worth it for a course with quizzes?
It is worth it if you want one bill for the course, the website, email, checkout and community, and you sell enough to absorb $143 a month or more. The quiz builder is good enough for module checks and a gated final, and it grades multiple choice and checkbox questions on its own.
It is a weaker fit if quizzes are the product, for example certification prep with large question banks. Kajabi shows every quiz question on one page, has no question bank import and no option to show one question at a time. A creator in that position should compare Kajabi with what Thinkific costs per plan, since Thinkific imports questions from a spreadsheet and has a randomized question bank.
If Kajabi is already your platform and the open problem is filling the quizzes, try VidQuiz on one of your lesson videos. The one-time demo writes three quizzes with the real generator from a YouTube link or a lesson transcript.
Frequently asked questions
Does Kajabi have a free plan?
No. The Kajabi pricing page lists three paid plans, Basic, Growth and Pro, starting at $143 a month billed annually. Kajabi offers a trial before the first charge, and the pricing page answers what happens when it ends in its own FAQ.
What is the cheapest Kajabi plan?
Basic, at $179 a month on monthly billing or $143 a month billed annually. It includes 5 products, 2,500 contacts, one website, one community and two admin users, and charges a 2% Kajabi fee on sales through a third party payment processor.
Can I import quiz questions into Kajabi?
Not from a file. Kajabi course quizzes can import a quiz from another Kajabi course, but there is no CSV or spreadsheet upload for questions. Questions written outside Kajabi are entered with Add question, one at a time.
Does Kajabi charge a transaction fee?
Not on Kajabi Payments, where you pay card processing of 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro for US cards. On a third party processor, Kajabi adds 2%, 1% or 0.5% by plan, PayPal excluded.
