What you are looking at
Three quizzes VidQuiz generated from three real YouTube videos. They are saved output, not generated in your browser. Pick one to answer it, and open the source video to check the questions against what is actually said in it.
For your own video, the live demo on the home page runs the real generator once, free, with no account.
This box only holds saved quizzes.
It has not sent your link anywhere. The live demo on the home page does run it: one real generation, free, no account and no card, on the same engine paying customers use.
Brisk Teaching costs $0 for an individual teacher. The Educator Free plan includes more than 20 AI tools with unlimited usage, and the quiz generator is one of them. The paid plans, Premium for schools and districts and Intelligence for districts, have no published price: Brisk sets them per student and sells them to a whole school or district after a sales call. Third-party reviews still quote an individual Educator Pro plan at $99.99 a year, but Brisk's own plans page no longer lists it.
Everything below comes from Brisk's plans page, its FAQ and its Quiz Generator page, read in October 2026. The part most reviews get wrong is the individual plan, and the part that matters most for quiz work is which outputs each plan unlocks.
Brisk Teaching pricing at a glance
| Plan | Price | Who buys it | Tools and models | Quiz outputs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Educator Free | $0 | Any teacher, self-serve | 20+ tools, standard models, unlimited usage | Google Doc, Google Form, Word, Microsoft Form, Kahoot, Nearpod |
| Premium (Schools and Districts) | Custom, per student | A school or district | 35+ tools, faster models, standards alignment, batch feedback, admin dashboard | Everything in Free, plus Canvas QTI |
| Intelligence (Districts) | Custom | A district | Everything in Premium, grounded in the district curriculum and pacing | Everything in Premium |
| Educator Pro (individual) | Not listed on the plans page | Existing subscribers | Brisk's FAQ still explains how to cancel it | Not documented |
The last row is the odd one. Brisk's FAQ describes its paid offer as two main plans, Free and Schools and Districts, while a separate FAQ entry still tells Educator Pro subscribers how to cancel through Manage Plan in the extension. We read that as a plan that still has subscribers but is no longer sold on the plans page.
Is Brisk Teaching free for teachers?
Yes, and the free plan is genuinely usable rather than a teaser. Brisk calls it the Free Forever plan and lists unlimited usage on it, so there is no weekly generation count to ration the way some rivals have. It covers the Quiz Maker, the Lesson Plan Generator, the Rubric Maker, the Presentation Maker and a Podcast Generator capped at two-minute episodes, among others.
When you sign up, Brisk also gives you 14 days of the full Schools and Districts plan. After that the account moves to the free plan automatically. That is worth knowing if you build quizzes in your first fortnight: Canvas QTI output, standards alignment and the faster models disappear on day 15, and quizzes you planned around them have to be rebuilt another way.
How much is Brisk Pro?
Review sites such as toolsforhumans and several roundup blogs list Brisk Educator Pro at $99.99 a year for one teacher. We could not find that price, or a button to buy Educator Pro, anywhere on briskteaching.com in October 2026. The plans page shows Free, Premium and Intelligence, and its FAQ answers the question of buying at the department or individual teacher level by saying Brisk is designed for school-wide or district-wide adoption.
If you already pay for Educator Pro, the FAQ explains the cancellation route: open the extension, click the three dots, choose Manage Plan, then Cancel Plan. The same entry says that under Brisk's Terms of Use it does not offer refunds, so cancel before the renewal date rather than after it.
If you do not have Educator Pro, plan on two choices only: the free plan, or persuading your school to buy Premium.
How much does Brisk cost for a school or district?
Brisk does not publish a figure. Premium and Intelligence are both marked Custom Pricing with a Speak with us button. The FAQ explains why the price is set per student even though Brisk is a teacher tool: districts already budget per student, and pricing that way means every teacher in the building gets access rather than one department.
Third-party estimates exist, but they are estimates, so treat any per-teacher number you see in a review as a starting point for the conversation rather than a quote. What Brisk does publish is the route to buying. It lists purchasing partnerships with BuyBoard, TIPS, the Pennsylvania intermediate units, Wisconsin CESAs, the Ohio education service centers, New York BOCES, Centennial BOCES in Colorado, the Utah Education Network and the NYC Department of Education vendor list. For a US district, that can cut weeks off procurement. Brisk also offers pilot periods before a district commits.
What is the difference between Brisk Free and Premium?
| What you need | Educator Free | Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Quiz Generator, up to 20 questions at a time | Yes | Yes |
| Output to Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, Kahoot or Nearpod | Yes | Yes |
| Canvas QTI output | No | Yes |
| Standards alignment with the full standards library | No | Yes |
| Batch feedback and feedback insights | No | Yes |
| AI models | Standard | Turbo |
| Admin dashboard, rostering and a custom data privacy agreement | No | Yes |
| Bought by one teacher | Yes, it is free | No, school or district only |
For quiz work, the Canvas QTI row is the one that matters. Brisk's Quiz Generator page lists its formats as Google Doc, Google Form, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Form, Canvas QTI, Kahoot and Nearpod, with Canvas QTI footnoted as available for School and District plans. There is no Moodle file and no Blackboard upload file on any plan.
Is Brisk Premium worth it for quizzes?
For a school that wants one approved AI assistant for every teacher, with writing feedback, student activities, standards alignment and an admin view of usage, Premium is a reasonable purchase and the per-student model keeps it predictable. Quiz generation is a small part of what it buys.
For a single teacher or a small department that mainly needs recorded lessons turned into graded LMS quizzes, Premium is an awkward fit. You cannot buy it alone, the Canvas QTI output is the only LMS file it adds, and nothing in it serves Moodle or Blackboard. Brisk also writes short answer and open-ended questions, and if you want those graded automatically rather than by hand, an assessment platform that grades the answers for you is a separate purchase on top.
That gap is the one VidQuiz fills. Paste a YouTube link and it reads the video itself, writes multiple choice questions with the correct answer, an explanation and a timestamp for each, and exports a QTI 1.2 zip for Canvas and Brightspace, a GIFT file for Moodle, a Blackboard tab-delimited file, a Google Forms CSV or a PDF with the answer key. It is sold per user and starts at $49 a month, or $288 for a year on Starter, so one teacher can buy it without waiting for a district contract. It costs more than Brisk Free, which is the right tool if Google Forms is where your quizzes live. The Brisk alternative comparison sets the two side by side, including the rows where Brisk wins.
Brisk Teaching pricing compared with other teacher AI tools
| Tool | Individual paid plan | Free plan limit | LMS quiz file for one teacher |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brisk Teaching | None listed on the plans page | Unlimited usage, 20+ tools | No; Canvas QTI only on the district plan |
| MagicSchool | Plus, $12.99 a month or $99.96 a year | 20 generations a week, no exports on most tools | No; Canvas integration is Enterprise only |
| VidQuiz | Starter $49 a month or $288 a year | A free demo | Yes; QTI 1.2, GIFT and Blackboard on every paid plan |
The MagicSchool figures are from our MagicSchool Plus pricing breakdown. The pattern across both tools is the same: the free plan is generous for Google workflows, and the LMS route is sold to districts. Diffit is the exception on price, with an individual Premium plan at $149.99 a year, but as the Diffit pricing breakdown shows, no Diffit plan writes an LMS quiz file either.
How to choose without overpaying
- Start from where the grade lives. If quizzes run in Google Forms, Kahoot or Nearpod, Brisk Free covers you at no cost. If they have to sit in a Canvas question bank, read how the Canvas quiz generator packages QTI before you decide.
- Ask your principal before you buy anything. If a Brisk district deal is coming, Canvas QTI may arrive with it. Brisk lists consortium pricing through several state networks, so ask which one your district belongs to.
- Use the Brisk 14-day trial deliberately. Build the quizzes that need Canvas QTI or standards alignment in the first two weeks, and export them, because both features leave with the trial.
- Keep a file, not just a form. A quiz that exists only as a Google Form has to be rebuilt when the course moves to an LMS. A QTI or GIFT file is the version you can import again next year, for example into the Moodle question bank.
- Match the tool to the source. For a recorded lesson, the YouTube video to quiz workflow ties every question to a moment in the video, which is the quickest way to settle a disputed answer.
